Every product we make is handcrafted in small batches with natural, plant-based ingredients and a whole lot of care. Here are a few of the questions we hear most often about our handmade skincare line and how to get the most from your products.
About Our Products
Are your products natural or organic?
Each of our products is handcrafted in small batches right here in Virginia, using botanical ingredients like plant oils, soothing butters, and nourishing herbal extracts. We focus on purity, quality, and sustainability. While we’re not officially certified organic, we thoughtfully source our materials to stay as close to nature as possible.
Are your products safe for children?
Many of our gentle, natural skincare products are safe for children and sensitive skin types. Because everyone’s skin is different, we always suggest reviewing the ingredient list and doing a quick patch test before full use.
Do you test on animals?
Never. Our line is cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and ethically made. We believe in skincare that’s kind to your skin, animals, and the planet—no compromises, ever.
How long do your products last?
Our preservative-conscious skincare is best enjoyed within 6–12 months of purchase. To extend freshness, store your products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
Product Usage
How often should I use the oils?
Our lightweight, buildable oils are designed for everyday use. You can apply them daily or as needed on damp or dry hair, scalp, beard, or skin—adjust the amount based on what your hair or skin needs that day.
Why does my butter feel firm?
It’s completely normal for natural butters like shea and mango to feel firmer in cooler temperatures. Just scoop out a small amount and warm it between your palms; it will melt into a smooth, creamy texture that’s easy to apply.
Will your products grow my hair?
Our products are crafted to support a healthy scalp and hair care routine, creating a nourishing environment for your hair. Everyone’s hair journey is unique, and results can vary based on consistency, overall hair health, and lifestyle, so we do not promise or guarantee specific hair growth results.
Orders & Processing
How long does processing take?
Please allow 5–7 business days for processing before your order ships. Each product is handcrafted with intention in small batches, which means we take a little extra time to make sure everything is fresh and made with care.
Do you offer rush shipping?
At this time, we do not offer expedited processing or rush production. Depending on your location, you may see different shipping speed options at checkout once your order has been fulfilled and handed off to the carrier.
Can I modify my order after placing it?
Our orders often move into production quickly, so changes are not always possible. If you need to update or modify your order, please reach out to us right away at hello@coilessence.com and we’ll do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee edits once processing has started.
Shipping
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we currently ship orders within the United States only.
What if my package is delayed?
Once your package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, delivery timelines are managed by the postal service. We are not responsible for unexpected carrier delays, but we encourage you to track your shipment and contact the carrier directly for updates.
What if my package says delivered but I don’t have it?
If your order is marked as delivered but you haven’t received it, please first check with neighbors, household members, and your local postal carrier or post office. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they are marked as delivered by the carrier.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of our handcrafted personal care products, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges.
What if I have a reaction?
If you experience any irritation or reaction, please discontinue use immediately. We always recommend performing a small patch test before full application, and if you have any concerns, consult a licensed healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
